MESSAGE FROM PROMOTER GEORGE SOUTH

SPECIAL UPDATE TO THE FANS - NIGHT FOR THE RUSSIAN BEAR JUNE 2007

By now the ring has been loaded, chairs put back on racks, lights turned off. The Mooresville Armory sits empty till EWA comes back to town.

The main thing left is the THANK YOUS.

Putting on an wrestling event is never easy, and even having a Free one doesn't come without goofball promoters, wrestlers and everyone else wanting to mess things up. What would I do without my few friends? I mean the ones who really love what we do! I know I will forget someone, but here goes.

My thanks to Bobby Eaton, Boogie and Angel, Bobby Fulton, Jackie Crockett, Nikita, Gene Ligon, my students, Little George, Brad Thomas, Jeff Pillars and John Boy and Billy, Frank Dusek, Scrappy McGowan, Rich Landrum, and Dick Bourne, Steve and Carroll Hall, and so many others. Thank you Uncle Ivan for letting us help out, we raised $850.00 when the night was over.

Jesus really used a bunch of wrestlers this night. Thank you everyone, talk to you soon. God Bless, - George

E-MAIL FROM CARROLL HALL AT WRESTLING MEMORIES (www.wrestlingmemories.com)

Frank Dusek was a highlight for me. When we first got there Frank was wearing a coat and tie. That took me back to the sixties when all good guys and bad guys dressed that way. Then he comes out in that fantastic robe. Very much Lou Thesz and Johnny Valentine like. I can't believe he was taking those tackles, backdrops and bodyslams like a twenty year old. Then he caps it off with a heartfelt speech about Ivan. What a professional. A great night all around.

"The Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff made a surprise appearance at the Night For The Russian Bear. Nikita snuck in the back entrance to the dressing room after the show had already started. None of the fans knew he was there. Right before intermission, the night's special guests were introduced, and the last one out was Nikita. The crowd at the National Guard Armory in Mooresville exploded, caught completely off guard by Nikita's appearance. Nikita, like the others who addressed the crowd that night, paid tribute to the Russian Bear Ivan Koloff. it was a special moment in a night full of special moments.
