Valentine,  a former Mid-Atlantic Champion in the old Mid-Atlantic territory of the NWA, is the inaugural Heritage Champion, first recognized in 2005. Valentine had one of the most memorable Mid-Atlantic title reigns ever, one that featured a series of brutal battles with Wahoo McDaniel. June 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of Valentines first Mid-Atlantic title win.

The original Masked Superstar Bill Eadie is a Mid-Atlantic legend himself, who entered the territory the same year as Valentine. Superstar is a former Mid-Atlantic TV title holder and held one half of the NWA world tag titles on several occasions. He has headlined all over the world.

About the Mid-Atlantic Heritage Championship

The Mid-Atlantic Heritage Championship pays tribute to the old Mid-Atlantic territory of the 1970s-1980s, the men who fought for that regional title, and the fans who help keep the memories of those days alive.

The championship, established in 2005, is represented by a custom made replica of the 3rd version of Mid-Atlantic title belt worn by title holders from 1977-1985. The belt was crafted by Dave Millican, who along with Reggie Parks makes many of the belts worn by most major wrestling and fighting organizations today.

The Heritage Championship was created by the Mid-Atlantic Gateway, the number one internet resource on Mid-Atlantic Wrestling history, and represents the largest gathering of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling fans in the world.
