2014 Johnny Weaver Cup Winner brad Attitude

"The Army of One" Marcellus King kicked off the night's action facing Brad Attitude w/Amy Love in semifinal action of the 2014 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament. Despite appearing nicked up by King, Attitude took advantage of an opening, advancing to the main event Final later in the night by pinfall.

The very first Weaver Cup Champion "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel and his entourage entered and went to war with Arik Royal in semifinal action of the 2014 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament. With a numbers advantage, Edsel advances to the main event by pinfall.

"Dangerous E" Corey Edsel w/Rage & the Machine's Mecha Mercenary & Michael "the Fury" McAllister hit the ring for the Weaver Cup main event to find Brad Attitude and Amy Love didn't come alone, but had "the 1st" Ric Converse join them at ringside to help offset the Dangerous Elliance's numbers advantage outside of the ring. Eventually everyone became involved on the floor at ringside allowing Attitude to defeat the first-ever Weaver Cup Champion by pinfall to win the 2014 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament.

ARCHIVE INFORMATION:

From its inception in 2004, the summer-long Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament is an action-packed annual tradition for CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. This year’s tournament honors not only Mr. Weaver but also four famous “friends and foes” as 16 CWF Mid-Atlantic wrestlers split up into four blocks of four men each, with each block named after a friend or foe of the legendary Mr. Weaver.

This year’s tournament kicked off on Saturday June 21 at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville, North Carolina where 2008 Weaver Cup finalist MARCELLUS KING clinched a spot in this year’s final four on August 23 by outlasting three others to win the SWEDE HANSEN BLOCK.

The tournament continues on Saturday July 12 where four more CWF wrestlers go at it in the RIP HAWK BLOCK where the last man standing moves on to Finals Night in August.

Then the very next week, we shift to honoring two famous friends of Mr. Weaver with the DON KERNODLE BLOCK on Saturday July 19 and the GEORGE BECKER BLOCK on Saturday August 9 in remembrance of the famous tag-team partner with whom Johnny enjoyed so much success..

The four winners of each four-man block will make up the semi-finalists and eventual finalists who duke it on Saturday August 23 at Weaver Cup Finals Night for a chance to have their name engraved forever on the trophy AND a guaranteed shot at the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship.

All five nights of this year’s tournament will take place at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium located at 1001 Springwood Avenue in Gibsonville, North Carolina, just outside of Burlington and only 15 miles from Greensboro. Stay tuned to http://www.cwf247.com as participants and match-ups for the three remaining blocks are announced and make sure to join us Saturday August 23 for Finals Night 2014 as we crown this year’s winner of the prestigious Weaver Cup.
