			March 25, 2011 - The Anderson Brothers
Classic Trophy makes an appearance at the famous South 21 Drive-In
on Independence Blvd. near the original Charlotte Coliseum. South 21
has a long-time wrestling connection, being one of Jim Crockett's
program sponsors for Charlotte wrestling events every Monday night
in the 1960s and 70s at the Coliseum and the Park Center. Owner
George Housiadas welcomed two time ABC tournament winner George
South and representatives of the Mid-Atlantic Gateway.

			 South-21 owner George Housiadas
(member of the Copsis family that founded the classic drive-in back
in 1959) was presented with a photograph of the iconic red neon sign
that sits in front of his restaurant, taken on an earlier visit by
			the Mid-Atlantic Gateway.

Later that same evening, the trophy
made an appearance at the legendary Charlotte Coliseum (now the
Bojangles Coliseum) where for three decades the greatest names in
the sport of professional wrestling fought classic battles under the
dome. Two of those legendary grapplers were Gene and Ole Anderson,
the Minnesota Wrecking Crew! The trophy made an appearance at
halftime of the Carolina Speed - Albany Panthers football game, a
Southern Indoor Football League tilt played that night at the old
Coliseum. Of course, that appearance was in the parking lot when we
left early at halftime, but still....

George South is a former two-time
winner of the Anderson Brothers Classic Tag Team Tournament, wining
the inaugural ABC event with partner Brad Anderson (the son of Gene
Anderson) and ABC3 with son George South, Jr. as his partner.

			MARCH 30, 2011  • RICKY STEAMBOAT
			JR. • HIGHSPOTS CHARLOTTE NC

			Ricky
Steamboat Jr. and George South recently visited at Highspots and had
lunch together to catch-up. Steamboat (currently one half of the
Florida Tag Team Champions for FCW/WWE) was admiring the Anderson
Brothers trophy and told South he planned to team with his Dad and
take the trophy home one day! The Steamboats vs. the Souths! That
			would be a great match-up!

Where will the trophy appear next?
