Professional wrestler Ole Anderson was stabbed after participating in the main event of the exhibition at Greenville Memorial Auditorium Monday night.

He was taken by an emergency medical system unit to Greenville General Hospital emergency room where he was treated for stab wounds and admitted to the hospital in good condition. One report of the incident stated that Anderson and his brother and wrestling partner, Gene, were on their way back to the dressing room after a match against Dino Bravo and Tim Woods when a spectator reportedly attacked and stabbed him.

It was not known if a suspect in the incident was in custody. Greenville Police Department officials told the Greenville News Monday night that, to their knowledge, no one had been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
