I completely forgot to get a newspaper the day of the Spartanburg show (9/2/03), but thankfully my father, who now lives there, saw it and cut it out for me, not even knowing I was going to be attending.

Pretty good publicity for the show with the author of the article, Pam Prevatte, completely buying into the idea of a Mid-Atlantic Wrestling revival. I wish it had worked out that way.

The article mentions "scheduled stops" in Asheville, Raleigh, and Columbia. Sounds like a work to me, but I'd love to see it, of course. You can keep an eye on Rikki Nelson's Upcoming Events page to see if it happens.

I loved reading in this article after the fact that Steve Jones, manager of the Auditorium, brought back the old overhead ring light as a tip of the hat to the past. George South can vouch for me on this; it was the first thing I noticed when we walked into the Auditorium that afternoon. I wonderful touch to a pretty cool evening.
