George holds a framed photo print given to him last Christmas by Dick Bourne. It is the opening shot of South's November 1988 televised match with Ric Flair. Flair mentions the match, and George is quoted discussing the match, in Flair's book To Be The Man

Former NWA World Champion Harley Race and George South at the Harley Race Inaugural Celebrity Golf Tournament, May 2004. They are holding the first belt Race ever held, an old version of the Central States title, and his trophy from being inducted into a local sports Hall of Fame.
